I have 5 food allergies myself and although I have a few restaurants that I feel comfortable preparing my plate I rarely eat out because you can't control what the parties at other tables order! Several times, most recently two days ago I have gone out to eat only to have a reaction to the person behind me eating some sort of shellfish etc... I think an allergen-free restaurant [free of the 8 most common and easily adaptable to others] would be amazing, and a good investment!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1434787495961507027.post-21349477103362476022011-01-19T00:51:03.920-05:002011-01-19T00:51:03.920-05:00Yes they have to be sensitive towards the need of ...Yes they have to be sensitive towards the need of the customer. If there is an option of allergy safe food customers are sure to run there.EMRhttp://www.healthtec-software.com/emr.htmnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1434787495961507027.post-7030173176388314392011-01-13T14:56:06.037-05:002011-01-13T14:56:06.037-05:00Allergy Mum. I really do think there is a market for allergen-free restaurants.

Izzy, I think it's so sad that you can't go out to eat anymore -- and of course that makes any kind of travel really hard. The question is -- would you go out to eat if you knew the restaurant would take care of you?Colettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08246719800332561032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1434787495961507027.post-38083328227845634262011-01-13T11:42:10.511-05:002011-01-13T11:42:10.511-05:00We don't go out anymore, it's just not saf...We don't go out anymore, it's just not safe. I get sick every time we do and I have trouble trusting people now and businesses. We are grain-free among other things we are avoiding so it's really difficult to find a restaurant that will be grain-free.Izzyhttp://grainfreebelle.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1434787495961507027.post-4713010689676090482011-01-13T10:38:52.442-05:002011-01-13T10:38:52.442-05:00I completely agree. It is not a long list of places, but we are very loyal to the ones that take the time to ensure that our meals are safe. Going out to eat makes us feel "normal", and is a much needed break from homemade cooking some days.
Allergy Mum - http://allergymum.blogspot.com/Allergy Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11432576413385408397noreply@blogger.com
